[she looks lowkey annoyed that she got off without any injury, but even though she's a Mean Girl she does recognize that wasn't actually aoi's fault, so. after a second, and a sigh:]

[ Well, if the closet is getting looked at, then... Medb will look at the blue containers(?) or whatever those are across from the bed. ]

[there are a lot of outfits in here! and also a very bright red jacket with a black collar that stands out in particular.

the containers are full of knickknacks - little notes and letters, mini figurines, bags of chips, things that people just store away. nothing interesting, but it does make this place feel lived in.]

...can she. uh. steal that first outfit in the first link? because it's hella cute and she'll totally wear it later if she can take it outta here. also checking any pockets that might be on it or some of the other outfits, though that bright red jacket with a black collar seems important so i'll leave it for someone else at the closet to check.

as much as i love outfit number three... aoi doesn't see a reason to take it.

she'll look at those figurines, though. i know it sounded like they're just for flavor but that's what aoi cares about here. ]

[meanwhile, endorsi definitely sees a reason and the reason is Cute Clothes, so she's grabbing dress number three if she can! even though i believe with all my heart that aoi deserves it more. tragic.

but she's checking out that red jacket, carefully slipping her hands into any pockets to fish out what could be inside.]

[ i'm going to be really honest: once all the dresses and all the other outfits are looked over for anything hidden or weird, if the other 3 dresses and that jacket are stealable, medb will try to take them.

anyway medb can have as many dresses as she wants? i don't know how she's carrying them but she is. endorsi doesn't find anything in the jacket pockets, but when both she and medb touch the jacket, they get the sense that it is very important to someone.

there's no shelves or anything for sqx to check. the mini figurines all seem to be like... D&D minis, and tiny toy dinosaurs and animals. she can take them if she wants!

as for the doors to the left - no, they don't open, but there is a vent that seems big enough to crawl through.]

[sqx folds up her stolen dress and tucks it into her sleeve for safekeeping.

and she is not perceiving that vent because of the notes about the rat, so. she's going to try the door that was mentioned in the first tag, unless i'm an idiot and that's what you meant by the doors to the left, in which case she's just going to be making a face at the vent.]

[ aoi looks for like a lil necromancer and a knight mini and pockets those.

and then she is just going over to the vent to. look inside it for herself while she waits for someone to give her instructions. hmmm... ]

[ If there is a will, there's a way. Medb is slinging them all over her shoulder or something. I forgot she still has the toe tag and the skull? I don't know how she's carrying all of this either. Extreme juggling. ]

You should pick an outfit, Aoi. Something you like. But don't get too close to the vent, if there really are rats.

Anyway, about the door that SQX is now looking at: ]

Endorsi, do you think the key you have is for the door or something else in here?

[ The desk is separate from the coffee table in the picture, right? If so, Medb is going to look at the contents on the coffee table, if there's anything. ]

[sqx tries the door - it seemed to be jammed.

the desk is separate from the coffee table, yes! there's a couple of half written reports there, as well as a rubix cube. the reports seem to just be about maintenance and upkeep of the station, about how the doors keep getting stuck and needing to have alternate ways to get around.

aoi has her little figurines! and also there's just darkness in the vent.]

[mods just really out here like "get in the vent, binches"

sqx will try to unjam the door, but i have a sneaking suspicion that that isn't going to work. if in fact it doesn't, she kicks the door and looks grumpily at the vent.]

...we may end up having to go through that after all.

endorsi is holding her back, though? which seems to just confuse her. ]

[Frowning at the vent! And also holding Aoi back. After a few moments of thought:]

If there really is something dangerous in the vent, I think the more experienced fighters should go in front... So I can go first, then Medb, then Shi Qingxuan, then Aoi in back?

[But she'll wait to see if SQX can get the door open, though she has very little faith in this place making it so easy.]

[ Well, they can try to dress Aoi up later. They need to get out of this room first. ]

These reports say that all the doors keep getting stuck, so we might have to find alternative ways to get around.

[ She frowns. ]

If there is something in the vents, we should probably take something that can be thrown as a distraction just in case.

[ Throw the skull, make lots of noise in the vents, get wrecked.

But Medb will set the skull down, so she can pocket the rubix cube instead. ]

[the door doesn't unjam. it is stuck like a jammed thing is stuck.

there's a moment, where all of you are standing in this room suddenly feel like this isn't worth it. maybe you should just give up? maybe you should go back to bed. it's so comfortable there. sleeping is nice.

and then it's gone. the room hums, like the way old CRT tvs do.]

she looks down to pull her fan out of her belt, intending to use it as a weapon somehow in the vents, but - nope. it's not there.

she makes a face.]

It doesn't seem as though we have any other choice.

[time to head into the vents in the order endorsi suggested!!]

[In we go! She's pulling the black dress on over her clothes and the jacket on over that so her hands are free in case she needs them, moving into the vent first.

and since flurry is wonderful and ara holds the braincell, she's shining her phone's light in front of her.]

[ Following! With everything she picked up in the room. It's fine.

Honestly, Medb is probably trying to haul too much stuff to easily use the phone flashlight, too, but it's on for more light even if it's not shining directly in front. ]

[you know, i don't even question how medb is getting into the vent with all her stuff, she's just doing it.

it's very dark in here, but endorsi's light manages to push the worst of it back. they have to sort of crawl to get through it, but it's not a tight fit, really. they keep going...

there's a thudthudthud ahead of them in the vents, followed by a shuddery clicking sound.]

shi qingxuan goes tense, white-knuckling her phone (which she is also using for light), and peers ahead.

does the clicking sound more like the click-clack of nails on metal, or the clicking of a camera shutter? i can't get that sound from last curfew out of my head fml.]
