[should mahito actually decide to seek greed out, he'll find the avatar in the common room with what appears to be a glass of red wine in their clawed hand, gently swirling the liquid inside. their gaze is on a romcom that's on the television, wisps of shadows seeping out from under their hood. without turning their head, they greet him.]

I suppose a meeting was in order.

BUT UNFORTUNATELY he is curious enough to show up, ducking into the room and moseying over when he spots this fancy wine-sippin' shadow being. Can't believe Greed is going to be first on the guillotine when they eat the rich.]

Yep! [As he plops onto a nearby couch, dangling over the arm of it so he can look toward the screen, too.] —Do you actually like stuff like this?

Not in the slightest, no. But the alternative isn't much to be desired either.

Yeah, I don't blame you. [He also does not care for softcore porn. Romcoms are definitely his least favorite between the two, though, which means his interest in the movie dwindles in like .2 seconds and he's turning to face Greed instead.]

Anyway, he looks like he's going to say something about the symbols first, but immediately gets distracted WHY IS THAT DIG SO RUDE.]

He also seems to be giving that some actual, serious thought. He knows no god or land and is just in a constant state of smacking people around for shits and giggles without ever really having anything taken from him, so the concept of "fair" is a very nebulous one...]

Precisely. [no. no that's pretty much almost exactly the takeaway to have.] Justice is meant to allow people the opportunity to receive closure and in some cases deliver retribution for wrongs that have occurred. But it isn't simply handed out. It must be fought for and earned.

When you put it like that, it sounds a little boring. [Things like "receiving closure" and "earning justice"... Awful.] But fighting for things is always nice.

[There's a little tiny potentially thoughtful in a one-braincelled way pause, and then:] So, are you an eye for an eye justice type, then? Give as good as you take?

You must fight with everything you have, every bit of leverage you can take, and every trick you can pull off. There's only one way things will end. That's what I believe.

[This is true just by virtue of him not knowing how to live his weird, cursed existence in any way other than "absolutely 110% at absolutely all times, even if what he's doing has literally no meaning". A beat, considering, and then:]

[well this is fine and won't end in a bunch of people getting killed probably.]

I do, but I imagine you won't be impressed with the reasoning. [also they may be reeling from the fact it's been three days and mahito has trashed the base and also got shoved in a dryer.]

Also Mahito will continue to trash the base and possibly get shoved into dryers until the day Gojou inevitably kills him or he gets caught with his little red murder hands, whatever comes first.]

You appear to be somewhat brilliant in the most unusual ways. I was interested in what you would do under an aspect such as mine.

Thank you? [it's entirely possible greed has also never gotten one before, we just don't know. but they straighten up a little as if to correct themselves and resume authority here.]

I would be incredibly disappointed if those of you participating didn't do the most with what you've been given. After all, why should you be rewarded for minimal effort?
