i wanted to ask more about the whole underworld work thing, actually. make it as factual as you want, but i am genuinely curious. how similar the underworld is where you are to what i'm used to, that sort of thing.

the way you descibed it made the sort of thing you do sound similar? i'm thinking a lot of cutthroat, back stabbing, a little bit of betrayal and retribution when necessary. control the underworld, and you control, or at least have your thumb on the pulse of, a lot of threats after all.
curiosity. pretty sure if i knew a good thief for hire i'd be way more interested in getting them as under my payroll as they were willing to be, instead of-- what, replacing their role entirely?
