No. I don't really know much about repairs either or I'd fix it myself. I guess it's not that big of a deal though.

It still sends the messages though, so... at least there's that? Better some functions than none.

That's how I feel, too. It makes it a lot easier to track people down in this place than running all over hoping to run into each other.

[aubins]

At least we can still do that. Even at a bare minimum. Running around after people can be incredibly time consuming.

...yeah. [they won't lie to him, at least.] Now that people see they can get away with it, I wouldn't be surprised if it continued.

But it still sucks.

... Figured as much. Two weeks isn't exactly a coincidence, it's more of a pattern.

Yeah. I wish people found a better way to indulge than this, but this is what they're choosing now.

[aubins]

Right? Indulges are pretty flexible. But I guess when that swings to murder, it could be counted as a backfire.

If you get caught. Why do you think the murderers go to huge lengths to make sure that doesn't happen?

[aubins]

Not having to take part in a fight to the death would be a pretty big motivator for me. But let me guess -- it counts as a pretty powerful indulgence to murder and not get caught for it?

Yeah. Could be a wrathful killing, or it could be causing a huge amount of despair, or it's envy driving you to do it...there are all kinds of ways it could manifest itself.

[aubins]

And now it's started, there's no incentive to stop.

What a pain.

Yeah. The only incentive is to kill the murderers or something, but then you just create more murderers and those murderers will be people other people want to punish...it's a mess.

[aubins]

The endless loop of revenge, except it's less revenge and more an indulging thing. Sounds like a complete mess.

You guys knew this could happen, kinda like we did, didn't you?

It was a thought, considering the kind of people who agreed to come. That's why we put it in the welcome guide as a just in case.

[aubins]

I mean, it didn't surprise me, but I kind of feel more people thought about it because it was in the welcome guide.

I doubt it. [they frown.] People are going to do whatever it takes to survive and get what they came for. Even if we didn't mention it, there'd be people who would ask.

[aubins]

Some people seem surprised by the idea. I fully believe it would've happened, I just... thought it might not be for a few weeks, at least. [ of course there was a KILLER ROBOT so. ]

I was sort of hoping for the same, but...some people got a head start really early. I still feel pretty bad about Tamaki and Beau.

[aubins]

Well, yeah. Neither of them deserved what happened to them.

[probe]

Does anyone really deserve it? [...] Except maybe the really dangerous people.

[aubins]

No. But that doesn't stop it from happening.

Yeah, I mean. Fair. Dangerous people who use the fact they're dangerous for nefarious purposes.

Now that HK-47's been voted for, it's gonna be harder to see who else might be dangerous and nefarious.

[aubins]

It might be better the obvious target's been voted for in the first place. There's only so long we could be sat around pretending the robot calling us meatbags wasn't a legitimate culprit.

It won't stop people from choosing to kill, but it might stop one extra death from happening weekly.

[probe]

Exactly. It was only gonna be a matter of time before something worse happened, especially when he was already talking about shooting Mr. Enomoto and stuff.

And maybe if one threat's gone...everybody else will stop, too.
