Nnnnnnngrk-! Curse you!! CURSE YOU!! Tearing out your own eye to spite ME?! Spite YOURSELF?!! Are you mad?! You think this will stop you from the weight of your own sins?!
[Even under the other's command, Douman, in all their rage, will attempt to try to move forward to brandish the wrench, aiming for a blow.]
[they move forward, brandishing the wrench, but the other douman doesn't move. he stands, watching, waiting, not saying a word - standing up to this, to the thing they both are.
the blow connects. every time douman hits the other, they feel the blow, but - the other douman will not stop them from doing it. won't make a sound.]
Pathetic! [A hit - they recoil, too, but their rage is mightier.] Wretched! [Another hit across the face, and Douman jerks in place.] Coward!! You could never live up to Seimei!! Why do you think I exist, huh?!
[But the blows are too much for the moment - Douman's lips drawn back, they stop, chest heaving, body shaking.]
[Just hatred. There's nothing but hatred. Everything they are is made to be hated.]
[a hit, another, another - the other douman bleeds, sluggish and staggering. he stares up at douman with one eye, choking on blood, before - spitting a glob of it into douman's face.]
[Douman hisses, recoiling back - their free hand reaches up to wipe off the blood from their remaining eye, grin gleaming with teeth.]
...You have some nerve. Where did that come from, huh? Decided to grow a spine, all of a sudden? I think not. You're too faint-hearted to really go through with any of this. Give up while you still can. What's done is done!
[They step forward to grab Douman by the collar roughly, before slamming him down against the floor. They wince in pain, their voice hoarse as they draw back.]
Lay down and go to sleep and dream your dreams. I have work to do.
[that'll do it - they're stronger, after all. they always have been. the other douman hits the floor and gurgles, just for a moment, before his eyes shut. the lights above both doumans shiver and then crack as the light goes out, and the room is plunged into darkness.
after a moment, the light turns back on. the room is back to normal, clean and free of blood.
I think that's probably a good idea. The other rooms haven't been great. [... he looks at the elevator, which dings, and opens.] How many floors do you think there are?
