[greed is much taller than medb, actually.]

Ah. That would be mine. [living up to their name, it seems. though, awkwardly:] Would you care for some? Earl Grey.

[ She laughs. She would have been offended if she weren't expecting it on some level.

She raises the hand with her sin symbol. Her sinbol. ]

I wouldn't have this if I didn't.

You aren't the only ones who enjoy a little indulgence. [they seem both amused and matter-of-fact about that, reaching into their cloak sleeve to pull out a whole steaming teapot and teacup. two clawed, cracked hands hold the items and pour her a cup of tea before offering it to her.]

I suppose it is quite fitting for a queen to align with greed.

[ She takes the new cup with a smile. ]

A queen should always want more for her nation. Isn't that part of her responsibilities?

I can't disagree with that, though I haven't met many of royalty in my time. [the worst is that so far medb is their favorite of those aligned with them.]

And that's partially your motivation for being here, isn't it?

[fergalicious]

[ Medb should not be a favorite, but if Medb knew, she'd be like, as expected. ]

Yeah. I want an eternal utopia for those loyal to me.

And how would you craft this utopia? [what kind of kingdom does she want?]

[ Good.

She hums thoughtfully. ]

I wouldn't mind taking over the United States of America again.

[probe]

[you know. they were taking a sip of their tea but they pause for a moment.]

Again. [medb?] I suppose it's large enough. But surely there's someplace else you'd be interested in?

[fergalicious]

[ Yeah, again. Sometimes, you show up in 1783, kill George Washington, and cause another war. It's fine. ]

Oh? You know the United States? [ She hums. ] It'd be greedy to say the entire world.

[ She wouldn't mind that, but she actually doesn't want the world, not like that. ]

Connacht is already mine even if it's Ireland now.

[what the absolute hell.]

I'm familiar, yes. I suppose the entire world is next on the agenda then. Moving up should always be the goal.

May I ask how you came into possession of Ireland?

[fergalicious]

By succession. Through war and conquest.

[ More or less. Her father made her queen, so 1 + 1 = 2 in her mind. ]

Are you a strategist, Miss Medb? Or has your success merely been circumstantial?

[they're curious if medb has the chops to play the game with her own devices.]

I win my battles because I am who I am. It is not up to chance.

[ She chases after what she wants, and she doesn't stop until she's killed.

The exception has always been Cú Chulainn, who's never killed her, only those around her. ]

[a claw idly taps on their teacup as soft wispy shadows seep out from under their hood. if she's looking closely enough though, she may see a flash of fangs in that dark faceless void. a smile, perhaps?]

I knew I chose well in aligning you with me. I expect nothing less than a perfect win in the battles before you.

[ Ooh, fangs.

Medb takes a sip of her tea, and her own smile is reflected in it. ]

I am known for that. [ She is not. ] But when four of you came to greet us initially, it seemed like they couldn't say how many could win these battles at the end. Does that still hold?

[probe]

Does it matter? [an easy counter.] Whether the number is one or forty, your priority is to be better than all of them, use every trick you have and pull ahead in your indulgence.

[fergalicious]

[ She laughs. That's answer enough, isn't it? ]

I won't back down for anyone, but it matters because information matters. [ She drums her fingers lightly against the teacup. ] Are there limits to be what can be considered indulgent for greed?

[there's also a flash of purple from under the hood as if their eyes snap back to focus on medb's face. apparently she's said something they like very much, but they won't say so.]

The only limit is intention. Only putting in partial effort to any indulgence is hardly an indulgence at all. Indulge in the things you want.

[a pause.] And don't mess up this room. Or the common room. [please. no more damage.]

[ Hm? Hmmmmm?

Well, Medb doesn't know what that flash means, but her ego is going to make her interpret that as something probably good. ]

Greed does cover many things, doesn't it?

[ She makes a face. She's not against property damage, but... ]

If I could find out who made a mess of the common room, I would indulge in another way. I prefer things tidy.

[her ego would be correct and medb continues to be the favorite.]

It would be ironic if it didn't, wouldn't it? [greed having any kind of limit is almost laughable.] We're aware of the culprits responsible, but we'll see if they dare try again. I would also prefer things tidy.

[no one needs to know how aggravated greed was a few days ago, it's fine.]

Would you punish them, if you could?

[they consider this.]

An appropriate punishment for an appropriate crime. It's only fair, isn't it?

[or maybe it's greedy to want to get the last word in and get results.]

[ She laughs. ]

Of course.

[ Fairness is something Medb uses and discards to her advantage. ]

All crimes deserve their just punishments. I hope whoever trashed the common room is suffering for it.
