I would. I find it difficult to discuss these matters via text.

[She will make her way to the common room immediately, then!!]

Thank you.

[She will sit. She also glances at the hot tub. Where the skull was found. And. . . where the cheese was found. Clearly both of equal significance.]

Did that go worse than you expected? Or about the same?

Yes. I assume what you said was the truth - that we had the evidence we needed, we merely didn't put it together correctly.

I also assume that we won't be given an opportunity to take back our selection of Beau.

Then you hoped that we wouldn't? From my perspective, there appeared to be a very straightforward culprit, and the only thing which gave me pause was that I happened to believe her shock was genuine.

Mollymauk's actions. At some point, midway through the trial, he started acting erratically, trying to draw attention to himself and appear suspicious. Later, when I spoke to him, he admitted this was once he'd realized Beau's quarterstaff could have been used in the murder. After Beau scolded him, he stopped and became cooperative again. Clearly, if she'd had some sort of plan, he wasn't in on it.

Because of that, when he said he felt Beau could not and would not lie so convincingly, I felt I could take his word for it. Moreover, she came here to save his life. His trust in her made sense to me.

[Hmm. That's an interesting way to put it.]

We were told we voted 'incorrectly.' What does incorrect mean? Is it as simple as meaning that Beau was not involved in Tamaki's murder? Am I overthinking this to wonder if there isn't another layer?

Distressing. I'd hoped there was more to it - it would be an easier mistake to correct for in the future.

Hmm. In that case, someone framed her very deliberately.

They believed there would be repercussions if we came to understand they'd done it. Furthermore, they likely were made aware of the fact that the fewer our numbers, the easier it will be for them to achieve their goal.

[personal profile] bonetiddies 2021-02-14 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, certainly. Seeing as the first person who tried got away with it, it will appear less daunting.

It isn't enough not to vote. We must locate the culprits so we don't have emboldened killers. But interpreting the evidence correctly. . . [Sigh. She's not a cop!] I'm afraid I can't say.

I will have to improve, in that regard.

[Lol the part of me that's like you're just trolling me now.]

I can and I will. Thank you - this has been most enlightening.

[She honestly - really likes this person, and their matter of factness.]

Forgive me for saying so, but it came as a surprise that it would be the Avatar of Greed to care about justice.
