My apologies. You see, I do not require mortal food. So I have no preference for favorites.

Rice wine is always good - and various snacks that go well with it. Though if there are other types of alcohol you're familiar with, I'd be interested in trying those too.

[they place a gloved hand down on the top of the counter. a swirling, liquid shadow vortex splashes up from the surface. when it recedes, three bottles are left behind.

they motion to an ornate clay jar.] A vintage Du Kang rice wine from the Xia Dynasty. It has a glistening golden hue for fortune, and the notes are mellow, fragrant, and sweet. It pairs well with pork and duck. [they motion to the next glass bottle.]

A 100-year old cognac. The bottle is dipped in 24-karat gold and decorated with six thousand diamonds for an elegant display. The notes are citrus, fruity and a little spicy. Best enjoyed after a meal, though it may be paired with cheese, or a cigar.

A modern venture in the flavor "Blaze." A somewhat citrus-like flavor, and alcohol. This one has caffeine, and is carbonated. It is typically paired with house parties and junk food.

Oh, the Du Kang is tempting, but if I'm going to be trying something new... let's go with the cognac.

[they turn and produce some glasses: a shallow saucer-like cup, and a glass. these are both placed in front of sqx. both the wine and the cognac are placed nearby as well, and gluttony pours some of the wine into the cup as a starter.

Is there a particular way you enjoy your duck? Sweet, sour, spicy?

I think a bit of spice would go well with this wine.

[they will start on the duck dish preparations! first they tie back the sleeves of the robes, though, so they aren't in the way. the white button-up sleeves are rolled to the elbows, but they keep the gloves on? it's fine.

they are quite skilled at literally everything, whether it's cutting and chopping, cooking, or measuring.]

If I were them, I'd be glad to see other people taking pride in things - it would mean something they're overseeing has influence over more people, right?
