-okay, but I really mean it, nobody. I have, like, fifty eyes, trust me, I'm going to know.
[well- it's not fifty at the moment, but they could probably have that many if they wanted. they hesitate another few moments... and then they do, in fact, pull the hood back off of their head.]
So, um. Hi?
[envy would probably be a fairly normal-looking guy, if not for the eyes and the weirdly long fingers! his original pair of eyes both glow a faint green, and the pupils are narrowed; there's another eye currently open on one cheek, another on his neck, and a third off-center on his forehead. they all blink in sync with each other, for the record.]
[His own eyes widen a little, but he doesn't scream or anything along those lines. It's a moment of just taking him in. Omi's world is so normal, and these are so many eyes!
And then he smiles, pleasant and welcoming, friendly as ever.]
It's nice to meet you face to face, Envy.
You really weren't kidding. Have you always had this many?
Sounds like it takes some getting used to. That's so many views at the same time.
Hmm... It's a little new for me? But Aoi said she was a video game character and Fukuda drilled a hole in his head, so it's sort of like... I should probably let go of what I think of as "normal," y'know?
It does, yeah. It's just that, um, a lot of people would have a way harder time with that? But honestly, it's kind of a relief, you get tired really fast of people flipping their shit.
[they're... trying to joke, but the tone falls slightly flat.]
I'm sorry you had to deal with that. [Especially if they were used to people looking "normal". He doesn't know how isolating it would've been for Envy, but he can imagine, with the way people can be.
Omi's not a person who shares very much, but if Envy is their Avatar, then something about them must be similar enough? He's willing to divulge a little more.]
Maybe I have an easier time adjusting because I was looking for somewhere to belong. It's... nice to have somebody you don't have to hide things from.
It really is- I kind of have that here, with the other Avatars. We're all kind of the same, in some ways, so it's not like... none of us are really the odd one out, or anything. But if I existed anywhere else, it'd be... hard, probably.
It's probably on another level but... That's kinda how I feel in Autumn troupe back home. It's not like we're all exactly the same. We're just similar enough we understand where we're coming from most of the time.

I'm just curious.

[they take another mouthful of waffle.]

[they sound cheery when they say it, happily munching away.]

[ How vague! ]
Can you take them off around us?

I'd like to see you. It doesn't have to be right now but... It would be nice to see my Avatar.
[ especially because omi's only wearing an apron right now. ]

[they hesitate, fiddling with their sleeve.]
Maybe? I might be able to, I just-- you have to super promise not to tell anybody. Nobody finds out it happened. And also don't be freaked out.

I super promise.

[he smiles sheepishly, reaching up to rub at the back of his neck.]
-you're really not weirded out?

I'm glad you have each other.

[a slight pause.]
Except Pride, but none of us ever really know what their problem is, I think.

[he huffs out an annoyed little breath, a few of his extra eyes closing for a moment.]
No idea why.
