[after receiving that text, the next time omi is in the kitchen, he will find envy waiting! they have a cute green apron over their robe, and they're sitting on the counter, playing with their phone. they hop off it when he arrives, though.]

Oh-- you came! Hi.

[ Omi is only wearing a frilly apron, but he really doesn't seem shy about it.

In one hand is a plate bearing a waffle, covered in whipped cream and syrup. ]

Did you doubt me?

That's a cute apron, make it yourself?

Oh my god, you actually did it-- jeez, now I feel overdressed...

[they sound so pleased, though, giving him a bright smile.]

But, um, yes! Yes, I made it. That is a really good look on you, did I already mention that--?

[housewolf]

You don't have to be.

[He smiles back and hands them the waffle.]

Haha, thank you, glad to hear you like it. I didn't know you were so talented.

[they take the waffle, but all their attention is on him.]

I, um, I try-! I made our outfits, too. Knitting is usually more my thing, though.

[housewolf]

That's something else we have in common. One of my dormmates does most of the sewing for our company.

I do a lot more knitting and felting. It's fun, right?

[they perk up, at that. after setting the waffle plate down, they produce a couple knives and a pair of forks, offering him one set.]

Here, we can share-- I don't meet a lot of other people who know how, y'know? A lot of people think it's just for, like... grandmas.

[He'll take the set that's offered.]

Yeah, that's stereotype, right? But it's a really useful skill set. Everybody wears clothes, after all.

Exactly! So many people don't even know how to fix a button, much less make themselves a sweater...

[they cut off a piece of waffle for themselves, taking a bite-- and humming happily.]

Oh, you do know how to cook.

Buttons are such an easy fix too...

[He'll happily eat his own cooking.]

I've been doing it for so long, I'd concerned if I didn't.

I've always done my own cooking, too. I have to trade you sometime, I'll bake something later!

[they take another bite, hopping up to sit on the counter next to the plate.]

How long is always? I've been doing it since elementary... uh... do you know how school works? Is that insensitive...

Oh, um- I do? But I never went, really...

[they shift a little uncomfortably, at that.]

It's been.... at least several years!

[housewolf]

Sorry, I don't want to make you uncomfortable.

Don't worry about it-! It's fine, I'm not, I'm good.

[housewolf]

Are you sure? I won't mention it again.

Really! You don't have to, um, avoid anything for my sake.

[housewolf]

Are you sure? I know you're... watching over us, but that's no reason to make you uncomfortable.

It's- really sweet of you to worry, honestly, I appreciate it! But, um. I'll be fine. Promise!

[ Then he'll take another forkful of waffle. ]

By the way, what's with that room of clones...?

Y'know, I actually don't really know?

[they say this with their mouth partially full.]

I looked and they were clones of me, too, so... not just you guys that get that.

Man. That's unsettling... You guys didn't put it there?

Did it just come with the base?

[probe]

It might have! Sometimes it's better to just not question things, honestly, it's not a bad way to go about living.

[housewolf]

Huh. So did you guys repurpose the base or something?

I'm just curious.
