[THIS IS WHY HE WARNED YOU ALL NOT TO GET ATTACHED.
But there's no exasperation, or sense of scolding, or resentment. It's a mess, but he thrives best in those. And at least this way, he can stop pretending he wouldn't sacrifice everyone here without hesitation, if it meant achieving his goals. He's never enjoyed schemes and lies anyway.]
Of course. I'll accept anything you give me. [If that wasn't already clear.]
[GESTURES TO WHO SHE IS AS A PERSON. it's fine, this will be her own problem later. as it is, she reaches into her cloak and pulls out...a different phone? it's not the same as what everybody else has, but rather it's pink and has her signature A on the back of it.]
...a few people have asked me to dance for them, but I haven't shown anybody else yet. Here.
[and she will have a a video pulled up! except it's probably in japanese because her voice is cuter there but whatever. childe can watch that.]
[Childe is not surprised by her voice because he has heard it normally, so he just leans over to watch it, looking interested. Barbara is an idol or something but don't ask me about Genshin pop music. They have guitars? I don't know.]
You're very talented! Does it take you long to learn a new dance?
[thank you childe and also what the fuck is going on with genshin at any time.]
Thank you! I wouldn't say it takes a long time, but I'm the one choreographing it so it's whatever I wanna make up. The lyrics took a little while to write, but when I started thinking about them together it all fell into place.
[beaming. she's very happy with this compliment, thank you.]
[I'm literally just waiting for Snezhnaya to have fucking hovercars or something I don't even know.]
It's nice that you're able to do what you enjoy here, too. [Hobbies are a good thing! Even Childe has hobbies, for how little time he actually has to indulge (haha) in them. But he's pleased, too. This week is definitely harder for her than it is for him; it costs him nothing to take her mind off of it for a little while.]
Yeah! I mean my room upstairs has almost an exact copy of my computer at home so I have all of my games and my music, plus some other stuff. And I've been teaching some of the others how to dance and there are some of the participants who've been fun to dance with, too. Molly's getting good at DDR, and Shi Qingxuan and Yuel are pretty creative.
...I dunno. It's nice to have time at all, I think. [and this is why she still thinks childe can be a good person, sometimes.]
Don't we all. [Amusement, because Childe is terrible in a thousand ways. AND YEAH THAT'S BAD NEWS I hate it here.]
When it comes down to it, yes, I think so.
[Most people. His dreams are much larger, obviously, but--he can't achieve them without wanting to live long enough to do so, can he? So it still fits, he thinks, even if he'd never answer the question of "what do you want" with "more time".]
Yes, that's him! He was quite the thorn in our side for a while, back home--kept destroying our strongholds. We almost managed to kill him ourselves, actually, but he slipped away.
[Yeah you gotta grab him as a playable character before he starts talking about fighting the other Harbingers]
Mm, it's... fairly complicated, yes. The easiest way to explain it would simply be that we're at war with the rest of the world. We are diplomats as much as we are warriors, or informants, or debt collectors--anything we need to be. There is no part of Teyvat we can't reach.
[So they are... kind of all up in everyone's business, and also doing some things. It's fine.]
So sort of like being jack of all trades types where you don't have to worry about things slipping past you. Doesn't that get confusing to know where information's coming from or who you're supposed to be fighting all the time?
Not particularly, no. I'm the Eleventh of Her Majesty the Tsaritsa's Harbingers--all of us have our own divisions and handle our business as we need to. I can't speak for the others, but I trust my subordinates to track their information properly before they bring it to me.
[Which is part of what makes it harder here, given that he's always believed everyone here is capable of backstabbing and murder.]
I'm a bit of an outlier, though, compared to the others. I've always preferred battling in the light to scheming in the shadows, the way they do.
[it's a good thing he clarified because for a moment there was a real fear there that there were ten other childes.]
That doesn't surprise me. You're not really good at being subtle all the time. [just saying.] But...so does that mean the Harbingers are good guys or neutral guys in this whole thing?
[LOVE HIM FOR WHO HE IS!!! He's grinning, like he did this on purpose. But it's not like it isn't true, so...]
I'm only "kind of" a bad guy, wouldn't you say? I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting a good fight against an equal match. [Of course he doesn't.] Anyway, our goal will lead to peace eventually, if we do things correctly. Her Majesty is a kind woman--she's a true warrior. I don't mind being her pawn, if she's the one playing the game.
[The ends justify the means, is kind of the whole deal.]

[No ill will, on his part, towards any of them. He might think they're soft and foolish, but he doesn't dislike them.
"It's nice to have time at all", she says, and he hears I'd want to live as long as I could, and smiles.]
I don't think anyone could disagree with you there.

I don't think so either though. Isn't that what most people want? Time. A good life. That kind of thing. Whatever "good" means to them.

Well, might as well stay true to form, and keep working.]
...Is there anything you think I should know?

Mm, some of it.
[Medb did, and then Gojou did, because Childe lied and said he hadn't heard just to see what Gojou would do. WHY DOES ANYONE TRUST HIM.]
I was very surprised to see a familiar name amongst the others.
[Diluc was on Wrath, he already knows this and finds it hilarious that Diluc fucking died lmao]

Diluc, right? I sort of got that sense but I never really spoke to him while he was around.

[And then came here and died anyway HA HA]

he's not actively trying to kill his coworkers at this moment in time]
Far more people want me dead, you know. But the Fatui are disliked and mistrusted everywhere except Snezhnaya, so it's only to be expected.

Why is that anyway? Your whole world politics thing is confusing sometimes.

Oh, they're much worse than I am. Signora stole the Anemo Archon's Gnosis right out of his chest! At least I wanted to fight Rex Lapis for his!
