Yeah...but at least the case was solved, finally. That's the most important part. And Mizuki has Date and us.

[ okok. he'll finish up his food and once it's done, wander over to where the podium for the simulation room controls are. ]

[ he could do Abyss, but... this might be a better option. after a moment, with his hand on the panel, the room will flicker and change itself into what looks like the open interior of a very large, very old looking building. ]

[she patiently waits! and once the room changes, she stares at the tall buildings of the monastery and kind of goes "whoa..." to herself.]

Which means it's probably like a million for me...[be nice, lust.] It's so pretty though! This is where your academy is, right?

Probably! [ hey he's seen all her tech. he has no idea where to even start with most of it. ]

Yeah. It's the headquarters of both the Church of Seiros, and the Officer's Academy. It counts as neutral territory, despite practically brushing shoulders with the Empire and the Holy Kingdom.

[probe]

So as long as you're here, you're safe enough. Neutral territory means nobody can be attacked from either side, right? That's probably for the best with all the war you guys are stuck with.

[aubins]

It's neutral until someone with enough power comes along and attacks it, sure. But that has happened before.

Come to think of it, I do have some fond memories here. They all just got a bit overshadowed, I guess.

There was a ball there. And a dancing competition before it. Everyone just... had a good time. I got roped into actually participating in the competition itself, but aside from that? It was nice.

There was dancing, and food, and people sneaking off to go and meet each other at the Goddess Tower and see if the rumours about it were true.

[ ... ] Of course, it all went to hell not long after that.

But did you win? [it isn't like that's the important part, but she thinks it's a nice story and memory all the same especially knowing what she knows about yuri's world.]

...what's the rumor about the Goddess Tower?

[because she doesn't want to touch on what it means that everything went to hell just yet.]

Of course I did. [ it is the most important part, he danced like a boss. ]

There's a legend that long ago a female student from the academy met with a mysterious man in the Goddess Tower. They fell in love at first sight and were bound together forever after...

So the rumour is if you go to the Goddess Tower with someone and make a wish, your wish will come true. And of course it skews towards the romantic kind of wish.

Good! [pleased. but oh...]

...that really is romantic. Did you ever go and make a wish?

[aubins]

[ ha ]

No? No one I wanted to climb a tower with and the wishes I want aren't romantic.

[probe]

Wishes can be romanticized even if they aren't romantic, I think. But I guess that makes sense.

[aubins]

I guess even the bad outcomes of war can be romanticised by some people. I mean, look at knights.

[probe]

Yeah, exactly. Or a tale of a tragic romance lost because two lovers were torn apart. Even if it's sad it can be beautiful.

[aubins]

It's less of a beautiful tragedy if you live it, I think. Given some of the things I've seen.

[probe]

I know...but you know what I mean, right?

To a point, yeah. Those kinds of stories are popular in my time too.
