There's sleeping and there's resting, sometimes. The two aren't always one and the same.

[ he'll shift his arm so he can rub along her back again - slow, soothing motions that he remembers her finding relaxing before. ]

You have that nap if you want. I'll make sure no one bothers you.

[she finds it relaxing now, too, wrapping her arms around him. she knows there's hot chocolate waiting for her, but.]

Just... don't let me sleep too long. I have places to be. [she mutters, but it's not a no. in fact, it's a yes, as she closes her eyes and slowly warms up, like a sleepy space heater.]

[ it's fine. he can reheat it later, probably. ]

Half an hour?

[ he'll keep the motion going, and after a bit, start to hum slightly. it's small and soft, and sounds a bit like it could be a lullaby, but he's not quite at the point of actually singing it. still, it has a pleasant enough tone to it. ]

[she hums a yes to that.

and is pretty much out instantly. she's exhausted, and she trusts him, so it's easy to just curl up here and fall asleep. eventually she'll get up to go, but for now she's completely passed out.

and no!! she doesn't snore!!]
