It was a bit of a whirlwind week. At least there's a tea room to meet in now, right?

I don't know, I liked the rooms last week just fine-- but this one's nice, too.

Well-- okay, fair point! Kind of nice not to do all the baking myself, sometimes.

[they take a dessert, nibbling at it.]

Oh, you bake?

Mhmm. When I can get a kitchen to myself, anyway. It's pretty good for keeping myself occupied.

Relaxing too. It's kinda nice to just focus on one thing and not have to worry about anything other than what you're preparing.

Exactly! That's, uh, probably why I tend to kind of lean towards stress baking...

We all have hobbies for coping with stress. And people tend to like it when you bake them something.

[probe]

It's a lot easier when you actually have people around to give stuff to, yeah. Otherwise you get really tired of pastries after a day or so.

[aubins]

Not the most healthy thing to be eating in abundance either. That's always the problem -- sweets are great, but too many of them just causes problems.

[ but hey! ]

Plenty of people around now that you can hand out pastries to.

Yeah--! Maybe I should do that sometime, I'm sure the other Avatars have had more than enough stuff shoved at them.

Why not? You said you enjoy baking, and worry about what to do with the left overs so--

● A variety of plates of baked goods will be laid out on the counter in the kitchen. They include: chocolate chip cookies, brownies, chocolate cookies, shortbread, and several cheese logs. All the chocolate in the cookies/brownies is very dark and tastes bitter in that "I'm a fancy sophisticated person who doesn't need sugar" kind of way. The cheese logs have crackers arranged by them. There's a note next to it that says "Enjoy" in fancy script.

What were you doing that led to all the stress baking in the first place, though?

Sometimes literally nothing! Anxiety is a bitch that way.

Well, as long as you're not running away from everyone and pretending to be a rock to hide from your problems, you're probably handling it all pretty well.

Well, I'm not here. Usually I didn't need to anyway, though, I lived alone.

Ah. So being here's, what... a bit of a culture shock?

Kiiind of? I'm not used to this many people, and a lot of you are way behind the times, comparatively.
