i'm writing my responses as i tag these bc i can't envision vlad having enough to say for a full tl;cr tl--
vlad like "you're the only bitch in this house i respect."
Vlad is very much the type to give what he gets (or so he thinks). Fukuda consistently came at him with neutrality or openness, a willing to chat with him, and Vlad therefore responded in kind. Plus, Fukuda is good at flattering him and feeding his ego, which helps. Between that fact, and that Vlad had so few people willing to interact with him civilly, Fukuda very quickly became basically his one confidante and the only person he can trust. With anyone else, Vlad might be suspicious of ulterior motives or trickery. But he knows he can trust Fukuda at his word--even if those words are criticizing him sometimes.
That trust is why Vlad felt so betrayed when Fukuda killed him for a murderdate. But thankfully they managed to negotiate their way out of that--maybe that normally wouldn't be enough, but it did give Vlad a bit of a rush in that he got to hold power over Fukuda's head, and all parties made good on their end of the deal, and he trusts that Fukuda won't kill him again, so. We good now, we good.
It's because of that trust and civility, and just how rare it is, that Vlad found himself compelled to try to make Fukuda a replacement hand. He really really tried too!! It was going to be a fancy prosthetic and everything!! He even felt a little...bad? Disappointed? That the best he could do was salad tongs, and even that failed. But Fukuda only killed at his recommendation and they reconciled, so why wouldn't Vlad want to give him a small token to make up for the consequences he unintentionally brought upon Fukuda? It's only fair.
Anyway all that to say that Fukuda is the only person here who could chastise Vlad for his behavior and genuinely have him think about it. Actually, he might be one of the only people PERIOD who could do that. It's just a shame Vlad is too pigheaded most of the time to heed Fukuda's advice for long, if at all.
