Like. He liked Limbo at first? Because Limbo was nice to him and liked the less good parts about him. And you know how Fukuda is. He just wants some positive attention. To be reassured he's ok as he is. But also as much as the envy clusterfuck was... a lot. Just a lot? He sort of wasn't enjoying it? Moreso in retrospect. Fukuda got REAL into envy and Limbo was absolutely drawing on worse parts of him. But he's got no concept for what relationships should be like? And his views on murder are messed up. Limbo wants to destroy the world? Damn not his world so y'know it's fine? This is clearly some big sexy monster why WOULDN'T they want to destroy humanity. He was lost in the sauce. Limbo encouraged him to be envious and it's that same envy that led to everything falling apart. Limbo just HAD to also be close to the ONLY person Fukuda had it in him to dislike. And then when he had to make a choice, they chose Medb over Fukuda.
So Fukuda was like "well fine I'm going to die and you've made your position known AND you're here talking shit about Aoi? I'm rude now." He can only really understand Limbo in relation to how they're similar to him, but unfortunately Limbo's flaw is just a more exaggerated version of Fukuda's so. He had them pretty pegged. In the end he didn't like Limbo. But he did feel bad for them, because they're sort of the inverse of Aoi, who he felt had a better chance of learning to be "normal" than him. Limbo struck him as something that could never even come close. So he pitied him, defiantly.
And then.... Douman showed up at the graveyard. He didn't know what to think at first? It explained some things and created further questions. And having realized Limbo killed Omi there was also this? Lost chance to be mad? He can't be mad at this sad man who wants to die. Like. Mood.
So he was like. This person needs help. I want to help. So he asked to be friends. And did they ever really become friends?? Unclear. But he ended up liking Douman a lot! There were some parts of him that Fukuda could empathize with too, but mostly he sort of liked being the more emotionally competent one in some ways, for once??? He did bully him a little, but listen, it's fine. Limbo bullied him a little too so now they're even? He's actually way happier with Team Envy as it is now, and he's going to remember their sad puppet history watch with more fondness than the threesome honestly. He just likes having friends a lot now. He thinks friends are great.
