Yeah, but look at those murderers running around wild and free on the living side. Unfair that we, the dead, are Fuel Tank #1 when some of us have been perfectly well-behaved and ready to indulge the non-murderous way.
That's why even if it looks and sounds like there's no way out, I'm going to keep trying, and not just lie down and let things happen this way. That's what one of the people I most care for taught me, that as long as there's even the smallest light, then we should keep moving forwards.
This isn't about what's fair. Your purpose was to come here to be fuel for the thing that runs this place. You were always going to die. It was just a matter of how fast.
I won't stop you from trying. Wouldn't stop any of you. I'd want to chance to fight for what's mine, too. But I will not sacrifice myself or my desire for any of you.
I get it. If I was on your side of matters, I'd feel the same undoubtedly. But here I am, on the other side with the higher stakes instead.
I won't force you to go against your wish and give up on it, I just want to find a way where we don't have to all die for it. That's all. I guess if anything, at least to let us try and impress you fairly.
If you find a way, you find a way. Not interested in whatever power of friendship the living has to offer. Not interested in going out of my way to help.
But I also don't care what happens so long as I get my desire.

Do you think a third option, where we don't die and you can still get what you want is possible? I'm not in the business of leaving bad tastes if I can help it.
If you think that's too much effort and too little basis for hope, I understand. But we're going to try, so I hope you'll at least let us.
