It's one of my favorites because there's so many different flavors. Plus you can always change it up with all sorts of toppings. [which is why they take a bite from their dish.]

I like trying different combinations and different things.

But if they put all those options into the game for the player to make instead of the character, it would be pretty unnecessary.

Huh? What makes you say so?

Little decisions like that wouldn't impact the over-all plot. So they don't really matter.

Are you sure? What if...what if you wanted cookie dough ice cream, but they were all out that day and you had to settle for chocolate? But you were really, really in the mood for cookie dough and now your whole day is thrown off! Wouldn't your feelings change how the plot goes?

Well...what are you feelings about this place? It's been a while now.

... Aoi liked it more before. But someone died.

It's kind of sad, isn't it? We knew it was a possibility but I was still hoping it wouldn't happen.

Aoi heard... That some of the NPCs have been telling people killing would help them get their wish.

Seriously? Do you know which ones?

Aoi isn't sure. It's a rumor Aoi heard.

That doesn't sound very good. But...I guess that's not totally wrong either. Somebody decided to kill as an indulgence, even if we don't know why. And you know what happens the more you indulge.

If you didn't want people to kill, why not just lie and say that it doesn't count...?

[probe]

Because we can't lie about those kinds of rules when it really does count. When the whole game's about indulging...we can't exactly say things don't count when they count a little too much sometimes.

... Aoi doesn't like to lie, either...

Yeah. I wish we could lie and change things, too. I'm sorry.

It might. People want their wishes really bad.
