...it's complicated, but I'm okay. The weekend was pretty bad but it's still pretty early in the week.

[ That's why she's here! She'll take their hands too, and just hold them as promised. ]

Yeah. Yer kinda close with Childe, aren't ya? ... Are ya glad he's still alive?

[yuel is perfect. lust will hold their hands, fingers curling around hers.]

I think I'm probably the only one who is.

Well... I dunno 'bout that. Someone did save 'im after all. [ Hopefully this is helping. ] And maybe Medb is a little happy.

Ya can't help how ya feel.

Maybe. [there's slight amusement because medb is medb.]

But I guess not. It's why I shouldn't blame everybody else for being upset, you know? I get it. I'm not happy he murdered someone either.

[ Lust is going to feel a sudden wave of regret. ]

... It must be tough on ya. To see us killin' each other and not be able to help.

[ She shimmies closer, settling her chin on Lust's shoulder. ]

[can they pet an ear? they will do that because yuel is there.]

It's just...tiring after a while, I guess. We can't stop it and we can't do much about it, and then we have to watch you guys fight for nine hours knowing people are probably going to keep doing it.

[ She can! It feels nice, and there's a definite thread of happiness at the gesture. ]

... I'm sorry. I never really thought 'bout how much it probably hurts you guys. I always kinda assumed it was 'cause of you and the other Avatars that things were set up this way, but it ain't yer fault.

[good yuel best furry.]

There's a lot of stuff happening here that was a surprise to us, too. But it's not like I blame you for thinking that. We were here before you guys, so of course we should've known what was going on.

[ squeezes Lust's hands ]

It's a confusin' place! I've been here more than a month now [ probably? ] and I dunno what's goin' on... Do ya like it here?

It's been a while for you guys, yeah. [lust isn't letting go of yuel's hands anytime soon so i guess they're just holding hands now.]

...but I do. Even with everything, I like that I get to meet you guys and experience new things. And just kinda live, you know? It's not so bad when I think of it that way.

[ they are absolutely holding hands! ]

... Didja not get a lotta freedom back home?

[ it's just an interesting way to phrase it ]

Hm...no, it's not really that. I had a lot of freedom! My mom always let me go after my dreams and supported me to do whatever I wanted to do, but it's still a little different.

[which all sounds nice and calm if you ignore the fact that there are some sort of melancholy emotions attached to that statement.]

[ If Lust is going to be melancholy, then Yuel is going to pull them into a hug. In fact, she's going to recline back into the beach chair, pulling Lust along so that they can settle against her, their back to Yuel's chest. ]

She sounds like a good mom. Sometimes it takes a crazy adventure to believe in yerself though... Ya miss 'er?

[sprawling in this chair is acceptable and lust makes herself comfortable.]

She's the best! I miss her a lot but I haven't been gone for this long either. [so it makes sense to her.] I'm sure you have people you still miss, too, don't you?

[ She considers this. ]

I do, yeah. I used to wanderin' off on my own though. But I guess this is the first time I've thought that I really might not see 'em again, ya know?

Yeah...it's weird. It really hasn't been that long, but at the same time it feels like you guys have been here for ages. It'll be weird not seeing you every day when this is over.

[ Yuel is still mostly mellow, but there is a spike of happiness at the thought that Lust might miss her. Friends... ]

It's pretty sad. I'm gonna miss you all too. Especially since some people are goin' back to awful places. I wish I could steal some of ya into my own world.

[friends!!! lust actually likes yuel a lot so yeah, wow.]

I've always wondered if there was a way to do that. Technically you guys don't have to stick with the same wish that you came here with, you know? What you've been playing for is the power to make that wish a reality. You can still get the power but apply it to something else.

But I would like to see your world someday. It seems really different than mine.

[ she jumps!! she jumps in place!!! ]

Ya know I was thinkin' that too! That maybe we could switch our wishes around, and there has to be a way—if we're all here in the first place—to see each other!

I'm really thinkin' about it... I care a lot about my original wish, but after bein' here, I think I can achieve it even without that power. [ gives lust a lil squeeze ] And then I'll help ya visit me, and show ya what it's like sailin' through the skies.

Yeah? I think it could be a great idea! All of you have been getting really close to each other anyway...it seems sad to just say it's over and have to say goodbye forever. [there's a sudden jolt of excitement because sky sailing? that sounds awesome?

though hum...]

What was your original wish anyway...? I always like to ask instead of just going off of the stuff we're supposed to know. It feels more personal that way.

I wanted to save my friend. [ There's a bit of emotional whiplash as her excitement fades into concern and longing, wrapped up with a tinge of regret. ] She's bein' hunted by a super old demon at home, and the demon eventually ate her soul and took over her body...

I tried to save her, but I wasn't strong enough. So I guess I wanted power.

...that's really important. [whoa...] Do you really think you can save her on your own?

[she doesn't doubt yuel in the slightest, and that's obvious. but demons are bad.]

Maybe not. But... I don't have to do it on my own. There are lots of people who care 'bout her. I just got really emotional and kinda charged in alone.

[ She laughs sheepishly at that. ]

Ya know how it is.

I totally do. [she really does!] There are friends I'd rush in to save, too, even if I didn't have the power to do it myself. I don't think caring about people is a bad thing.
