What would you say you are meant for then?

I really don't need your sympathy, actually. [it's not even really in a harsh way, it's more of a way of saying they don't think it's important to think about.]

Another recalibration is the best we can figure. They disappeared without warning and came back without warning. They can't return, and the things they managed to see weren't entirely real.

Almost a mass hallucination, but not quite.
