Who knows... They've been sending us messages and everything, right? So it's not like they're - well, they're dead, but not the kind of dead that I'm used to. We don't usually get messages from ghosts where I come from. I'm kind of in an unfamiliar situation, here!

[her lips twitch.]

I guess that's true, huh. We don't really get ghosts where I'm from either, or - uh, not ones that send messages. [she shifts.] Don't get your hopes up, though, okay?

Not really, but uh.

I don't know, is it terrible of me to hope you guys figure it out?

[fisherwoman]

Why would that be terrible...?

[probe]

I don't really like depending on other people to solve my problems for me.

[fisherwoman]

Well, at this point it's kind of everyone's problem, right...?

[probe]

I guess you're right. If you guys care about the dead, it is.

[fisherwoman]

Well, some of us care about some of them, at least.

[she won't deny that it's pretty selective, though.]

[snort.]

Most of them didn't really care about Vlad or Childe or uh, Fukuda. You know? It's real pick and choose. [a little shrug.] Not that I blame them. It's easier, and I can't say I'm not guilty of it.

[fisherwoman]

We're pretty pick and choose as a group... I don't think Mineo is going to get anyone saying we should break his legs and drug him.

[not that she seems unhappy about that. mineo rights, because she is also a hypocrite.]

[probe]

Nope, he won't. He'll get away with this because he killed someone that uh, A, nobody liked except for like three people, and B, he shot someone who killed someone here.

Like I said - if it were someone I liked? I'd do everything I could to save them. But then again, I didn't like that Childe was a prisoner, so uh. It's a tricky ground.

[fisherwoman]

It probably helps that he was pretty popular to start with.

[Frowning, though.]

Sure is! It's a popularity contest all the way down. [she rocks back and forth idly.] I don't like anything about this system at all. But I'm stuck in it, so.

What do you think you'll do after all this is over, anyways?

Hopefully for not much longer.

[...] I guess if everything goes right I'll be going home. I have to save my brother. And the rest of the world too, but he's the most important part.
