[but it's mostly joking. tired joking. they have been doing so much babysitting? wow. anyway, they're here with endorsi in the garden.]

Even criminal sounds more stylish than that!

[She turns their way when she hears them, though, tilting her hand.]

You know, you really only ever call me when you want something. [they huff, leaning against a bench.]

It's because she didn't follow through. She was awake, though.

[fisherwoman]

[She looks a little bit surprised at that, but—]

I thought that’s what you preferred? You always talk about how you’re here to help us indulge. [...] Ah, but it’s natural to want to enjoy my wonderful company, I guess! You can text me whenever!

[But then she gets a little more serious, nodding.]

So basically, we should be looking for someone else if we want to find who did this.

Helping you guys indulge and hanging out are not mutually exclusive, wow! [but they don't press on that, just shrugs.]

Do you care about finding who did it?

[fisherwoman]

I do owe you a thanks for the things you keep giving me... [Hm.] How about an hour this week where we do whatever you want? That's worth thousands, you know!

[At that, she shrugs.]

Not really, but they get so depressing when they can't find anyone... So it's kind of a relief, as long as it's not one of the weeks where I act.

[probe]

[that first part makes them laugh.] Jeeze, you're really cutting me a deal, huh? Yeah, sure. We can chill.

[they flop down on a bench.] Even when you guys find one you're not happy, I feel like. Not you, specifically, general you.

[fisherwoman]

You should be thanking me for that, you know! It's a precious gift.

[just the most obnoxious grin.]

Maybe, but they get less annoyingly guilty when they know who did it as opposed to voting out someone innocent, right? Although I guess we technically did that this time, if she didn't follow through...

[probe]

[they just blow a kiss at that. and then:]

Eh. I still count attempted murder.

[fisherwoman]

Well, I'm not going to say I'm upset about it at all. If she was pushed out of acting this week, it doesn't mean she wouldn't have acted later. Still, some people might make that distinction.

[And then, after a second:]

By the way, what happened to the four Avatars who died?

[probe]

That's my logic too. She didn't kill anybody this time, but on a technicality, you know? [shrug.]

... I'd ask them. They're gonna describe it better than I would.

[fisherwoman]

You sure they won't get angry about me digging into the time they died horribly?

[snort.]

Uhhh - maybe? Gluttony won't, they don't give a dang. It really depends on who you ask.

[fisherwoman]

[A beat, and then:]

Last question, then, I guess... Are we allowed to change our wish at all, or is it set in stone from when we got here?

[probe]

Oh, for sure. Your desire can change whenever.

Why, out of curiosity?

[fisherwoman]

I guess it's just something I've been thinking of lately. But I'm not really sure what I want yet, either. [Waving a hand!] I doubt you want to hear me go on about it. I'll figure it out.

[probe]

What, you think I just asked you to hang out more often and you don't think I want to hear about it?

[they sound amused.] Very mysterious.

[fisherwoman]

Well...

[Hmm. She pauses, thinking of the easiest way to explain.]

Ugh, this is going to make me sound all soft... You're not allowed to mention it to anyone, okay?!

[probe]

[fisherwoman]

Well, you know I don't have a problem with killing if I need to in order to get something, obviously... And I don't feel bad about it or anything. That's just the way the world is! But - I guess meeting people from different places made me start thinking about what it would be like if it wasn't necessary.

[She sighs, though.]

I don't really know how I would do that without changing everything about the place I'm from, though.

[probe]

Well. You win here, and you won't have a problem with changing that when you get back. You'd have the power to change whatever you wanted.

[they tilt their head.] Did you make friends? Is that why?
