...a few incidents have occurred that have begun to change how the law is viewed by the public. One of our young prosecutors has just been arrested for a murder I firmly believe he didn't commit.

[a pause.] ...and a year ago, a friend was disbarred for presenting false evidence to the court. I don't believe he did that either.

But without proof, this is what the public believes. An age of corruption has begun to set in.

You want to fix your law system, and you'd like to see those two people cleared.

[ Medb's views on justice as a whole are not strict or great. Her morals are corrupt, and she just does whatever the fuck she wants. It really is a wonder how she gets along with Miles as much as she does. ]

People in power do like to bend the law to their will.

It isn't unfamiliar to me, all things considered. I'm sure some may find my desires a bit underwhelming, but...this is what matters most to me. The truth. And making it right again.

What you want is what you want. What's important to you is what's important to you. Who cares how people view it, as long as you hold it as important?

And I suppose that's why I'm the Avatar of Greed, among other reasons. [because at the end of the day miles always just does whatever he wants to get the results. even if they're not as underhanded as they used to be.

[he raises an eyebrow, but he's also a.) putting his cloak back on to cover himself and b.) reaching into the sleeve to pull out a black peacoat? sure. he'll offer it to her.]

I would prefer not to go out in public with my face exposed. [that's it, that's the main reason he took the cloak back.]

There isn't a punishment or Envy would have suffered weeks ago. [live broadcasting...] I just don't like it.

She'd comment on how Pride stabbing Envy all the time is kind of a suffering, but she decides better of it. ]
