Hmm.

[She finds herself a little skeptical of this, but it's hard to try and explain why without talking about things she doesn't want to say to him.]

I agreed I wouldn't ask about Eleanor again, but I find myself needing to, now. Perhaps you cannot answer this, but was the reason you said we ought not to look into it because it was related to what we have recently learned?

All right.

[She'll accept that, then.]

When you said you thought murder was 'worth more' as an indulgence because it meant indulgence would be shared among a smaller group, does that remain your opinion?

[A little embarrassment here. It's fine.]

. . . Ah. Like the choices in those little adventures we're whisked off on. Or the choices we make at trial? Is that why they're structured that way?

One specific choice? Voting, you mean?

Is it voting correctly for a culprit? Or simply the act of making a decision, whatever it may be?

Ah. Hmm. But deciding not to vote gains no indulgence at all?

All of my decisions are purposeful. [A little defensive, since she's done the no vote several times.]

. . . I have heard that typically, the spread of votes is fewer than what one might expect.

Supposedly, there is a power that allowed someone to view the vote spread, and that was their conclusion. But it also goes along with what I have noticed - for example, I suspect there was only one vote for Gu Yun and only one vote for Gojou in the last trial.

I've also talked to a few people so far who've mentioned they don't always vote.

Very well, I shall.

Something I noted with Sheila, and that would seem to carry through in the execution reports I received. The body is always destroyed. Is there any significance to that?

I beg to differ.

[Leaving corpses around is fine, actually. But.]

It may be meaningless. I just noted it when I was going over with Sheila who she's been given. I wondered if there was any significance; if the executions were a different process.
