I mean-- I'm used to being mostly by myself. Myself plus several dead people, anyway, and people who aren't dead usually think I'm out of my mind, so.

The only other youth, growing up in Drearburh, was a man seventeen years my senior. I was surrounded by our elderly and the crypts. Though I can't say I spoke much with the dead by choice.
