Pride's a pain but, like, in a tsundere kind of way. You just have to know how to talk to them to get anywhere.

[for all that lessa seems to create problems just by existing and being near him inevitably means getting dragged into them, it wasn't a difficult choice to follow after him—the one person to truly act as if white's life was worth anything at all.]

[white might be the one flat-out dying, but lessa's survival is still precarious, even if they manage to prevent the universe from being destroyed.]

...all the more reason to indulge and earn as much as you can, right? [that's very sad actually.] I think I understand how you feel though.

Yeah. [but they seem like that's all they want to say about that.] It's not that important though. It's just...kind of nice, I guess.

... Well, guess we gotta figure out what really happened. Not exactly easy to sleep at night when there might be an unknown threat around, right?

[except it definitely won't be him figuring anything out! finally, the no braincell life]

I get the feeling some of you will sleep easier than others. But it's up to you, you know? Some people are going to want to find out what happened and others aren't going to care.

And maybe...people will change their minds later anyway.

... Well, I'm not gonna pretend I'm morally offended that someone's going around killing. [he shrugs.] But when it could be my corpse next, it's worth putting some effort into.

Then okay. [okay?] If you ever need my help, all you have to do is ask. I'll see what I can do.

I'll keep that in mind... although I'm guessing the killer's also free to ask for favours from you guys, huh?

I don't know. None of us knew someone was going to kill Tamaki, so we don't really have any experience with something like that. If they did ask, we could always say no just like the others could say no to you for whatever.

[enfangs]

So you don't have to be impartial or whatever? No boss overhead gonna come and smite you for not doing your job properly?

Nope. Our only job is to make sure you're indulging and help you with that, but we can always decide what that means ourselves.

[enfangs]

Doesn't sound like too horrible of a gig, then.

It's not! We have everything here we could want like our food and ways to entertain ourselves, and then there's all of you so it's a lot less quiet now. We decide our own rules and that means letting you guys pick most of the rules.

[enfangs]

Hm...

Don't like the quiet, huh?

Not really, no. I know some people like when it's quiet so they can work and do other things, but I like background noise. Either music or a movie or just listening to other people.
