anyway. despair is really, really tall and gu yun is unfortunately not so he has to look up quite a bit, but there he is! wow! much like lup, it seems - though, he hasn't seen enough of despair to know if this is better, or worse.
the kindness compulsion kicks in before his brain does probably, and he steps forward, lifting his hand, and just. reaches out to wipe away some of the glittery black liquid with the edge of his sleeve.

and then stops himself, pulling his hand back and just pretending that didn't happen: ] ...The two of you really make quite the celestial pair, don't you?

[he very rarely unfurls his wings, but he does so just enough for gu yun to peer at the inside. they're the same black crystal the feathers are made of, but on the inside the wings have a more solid surface of raw crystal, with flecks and fragments of multicoloured crystal shards embedded within. a little rainbow galaxy of stars against that dark crystalline background.]
[ he has to move a little closer to properly examine the feathers themselves, lifting his liuli glass and adjusting it on the bridge of his nose. even with his rapidly fading vision, he can see the colors, and he tilts his head, then huffs a laugh, reaching up to tap his liuli glass on the rim. ]
Looks a bit like liuli glass. [ he's seeing some very pretty colors rn. how nice it is that he can see them! ha ha. ] That first floor we visited was yours, wasn't it? The room with the purple crystals on the floor, and all of that.
