But, I do believe you're right. I think each week we've failed, I've spent some time dissecting what we did and didn't find, and usually am able to draw different conclusions. I try to take notes.

For trials, at least, I'm using them to track information - particularly matches to the evidence checks, injuries or a lack thereof that seem a bit off, and to the usage and naming of powers as they're available. I already know that there are others floating around besides the ones that have been named [ his favoritism, ] but, I want to keep track of what people have and haven't admitted to, particularly as next week, they will expire and begin anew.
I tried finding a connection to the way the powers were assigned, and didn't find much. I think mine is likely related to Wrath, if only because of the title. [ he read "the power of god and anime" and was like "i don't know what this means but i heard it in lup's voice" tbh ] But, assuming that people were truthful, I've pulled out a list of people who got away with not speaking up, and I plan on cross-referencing it in the week to come.
[ which. hopefully will become useful. who knows. ] I have a suspicion as to who might have committed a killing, but I'm not sure which - only some possible evidence, and what my gut tells me.

You must also work under the idea that it's possible people will lie or withhold information if they think it will benefit them.

...logic is the priority, but "your gut" can be a decent start, if necessary. It will at least help you eliminate leads as you find them, in addition to your own cross-checking and referencing.
Oh, absolutely. [ that gets them a little grin. ] I certainly have things available that I didn't share, but I'm not doing so out of malice - more so to protect myself, lest something happens. I like to take everything everyone says with a grain of salt, at least until I can verify it with multiple sources of information.
