there's a dawning sense of importance. a sense of self, something far bigger than the item he's holding, and suddenly, gu yun remembers the figure, too. the rest of the gifts they returned with. that sense of sentiment that came with them both, how deeply important a trinket like this felt. his instincts were right, and if it's affecting wrath like this, then...

There were four objects - Childe's novel, the hat, the blanket - [ a beat. oh. they better get that back from vlad's stuff, hm. ] - and a small figurine of some sort of warrior.
At least that's one brought to it's rightful home, though. [ there's a pause, and he smiles a little more, softening a bit. ] - For as horrible as it's been to be sharing these glimpses of our pasts all over the place, I'm quite glad I was the one who was able to see one of yours.
[ so he could bring back the hat to the hands it rightfully belongs to, at least. ]

she's quiet for a moment, and then:]
You should try to return the other things to the others. The - uh, the three of you now, I guess. [...] Hold on.
[she gently places the hat to the side, and then pulls what seems to be a hairpin out of her sleeve. it looks like a peach blossom. carefully, she sets it in his lap so he won't drop it.]

anyway. he's nodding along, trying to think through of who they could possibly belong to - short of bringing them to each avatar in turn like a cat, which seems silly but possible - when wrath pulls that out. gu yun blinks, a little surprised, looking down at it.
... ] Shì... [ and then pauses, his expression changing, from a genuine surprise into something a little gentler, warmer at the corners of his eyes. ] ...A peach blossom spring.
[ gu yun ducks his head away, for a moment, with a bit of a huff, the tips of his ears a little red. ] Perhaps you'll help me put it on?
[she's hidden under the hood, but she nods. carefully, she brings the pin up, and tucks his hair back behind his ear. pinning his hair back very gently, she makes sure that it's comfortable and not pulling at anything, and - he'll feel a warmth rush through him.
he'll instinctively know that while he is wearing this pin, he'll be able to reflect any ability that hits him, if he so chooses. it will also send that same rush of warmth through him every time he puts it on.]
[ as he processes that, gu yun holds still, eyes closed. it comes back to that feeling again - wrath’s easy admission of “let me spoil you” a few days ago that even now feels a little odd. the warmth maybe isn’t from just the pin and the power within it.
there’s a pause, and then, asking a little ruefully, as he looks over his shoulder- ] Am I still in time out?
Technically yes! [but. she pushes her hood back just enough for him to be able to see the bottom half of her face, if he really wants to kiss her. it's still like that lava look from earlier, but she'll let him decide if he wants to.]
he’s got to lean over to do it- it’s not perfectly graceful, considering his center of balance is off, but, there’s no hesitation when gu yun leans over to give her a smooch. ]
