there's a beat. just a pause, as he pulls the hood down, carefully smoothing the fabric down with his fingers, and gu yun looks up to get a proper look at her face. the lava cracks are about what he's expecting, and the eyes are bright, and maybe two weeks ago this would've been a little odd. but, he'd made a remark about being more worldly the last time they talked, and after befriending and getting extremely drunk with a tiefling a day into his arrival here? if anything, gu yun, marquis of order, great liang's greatest garlic, is excellent at adapting to new situations.
so there's no freakout. no teasing, no making fun.
even if he's a little shit, he's in fact, a charming little shit, and he's good on his word. in fact - as he pulls his hands away from the hood, he lifts them to cup those warm cheeks - a strange contrast to his chilly fingers - ducks in, and presses a very gentle kiss to her mouth. ]
he's very gentle, and it's not that she's not used to gentle, it's just that him being very sweet like this kind of kicks her ass a little. she shivers, and holds onto the front of his shirt. her ears are bright pink at the tips.
he kisses her, and she can't help it, she's an idiot because she laughs a little against his mouth after a moment.]
that grin almost splits his mouth, again, when she laughs - gu yun, unceremoniously, turns his hands to the colder sides of the backs of them are pressed right against her face. squish. ]

the kiss gets a soft hum, too, a content noise, and as she pulls back, gu yun quips - ] You're still quite mysterious, though, I think 'cool' may be off.
