GRAVEYARD ✨
POPULATION: GHOST TOWN
You die - and then you wake up.
For a second, it feels as though you can't breathe, and then your head breaks the surface. You crawl out of a pool of blood and into a large, crystalline room. Moving images play across the crystal walls, and if you watch close enough, you'll realize that you're seeing the land of the living; a familiar space station with familiar faces. You can watch these images for as long as you'd like - there are several very large benches (as in, you have to climb them to sit on them) around the room for you to rest on while you do.
Regardless of how you died, it seems as though you're not quite gone completely. You're in one piece, at least. That's good news. However, your surroundings are not exactly what you remember.
When you exit the first room, a bleak, empty city sprawls out ahead of you.
The city itself is large. The framework of it seems to tower higher and higher than you can see, up into the black opal sky that shivers and curls every so often. A river entirely made of blood runs through the city, winding around buildings and ending at the crystal room. The most noticeable thing about the buildings themselves is the fact that thorny vines made of pure white steel dig into the walls and floor, cracking the foundations.
The residential building is worn down and old. It's two floors, and has a few small studio apartments built for one or two people to live in. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. It has a communal area downstairs, but the TV is broken, and the couches are torn apart. Sometimes, this building feels obscenely hot in temperature, and smells like rotten eggs.
The grocery store is your typical convenience store. There's a large selection of food in this area, but it all tastes the same - like chalk. On top of this, every so often there will be bloodstains on the walls, the floor, and the displays. They change in size and location, each time you enter the store.
The clothing store is thrifty in nature. All the clothes here are uncomfortable and scratchy, and don't fit quite right. While you're here, time feels... weird. Distorted, almost dreamy. As you're picking out clothes and trying them on (no money needed, just take what you want), you swear you can hear a gunshot in the distance.
Enjoy your time in this city, and remember...your story isn't quite over yet.

WEEK FOUR
Also, two locations are now available:
THE OFFICE
A new building appears, though there isn't much to look at on the outside. At the top of a flight of stairs, however, is a door to an apartment that appears a bit run-down. The blinds of the windows are drawn, making it impossible to see inside. Upon entering the room opens up to what appears to be someone's apartment and home office, a little worn out and lived in but spacious enough. The furniture is mismatched and consists of a single couch and a chair. There's a flatscreen TV that connects viewers to the crystal room, allowing you to spy on the living. Two laptop computers sit at a table by the door and under a window, connected to some invisible network. While you can't read the news about home, you can browse the internet for forums, information, and Youtube videos. There are a few bookcases and houseplants around the main room, though the books seem to be non-fictional in nature, and some binders of notes written in an indecipherable language. Above, two ceiling fans light the way and against the leftmost wall from the entrance is a privacy screen leading to a bedroom and a bathroom. To the right, a small kitchen sits, allowing you to cook in a more intimate setting.
It seems as though this office space is meant for privacy. Funny that the electronics are bolted to the tables though.
THE BAR
A large wooden bar and restaurant combo is now accessible. Two wooden tables, with a few benches and stools pushed close, are at the front of the room when you walk in. Just past these tables is a fully stocked bar, complete with bar snacks. Behind the bar is a large television screen that mirrors the crystal room, allowing for you to spy on the living. There are neon lights here and there on the walls - one of them reads TEXAS and the other reads DRAFT BEER. Additionally, there is a jukebox, a dartboard, and a pinball machine, all fully functional.
However, if you press a button that's hidden on the pinball machine, you'll find that there's a... secret basement? The pinball machine functions as an elevator that lowers down to a small concrete room. This room has maps with an indecipherable language on the walls, a blank whiteboard, a broken computer, and various gym training equipment. In the center of the room is a table with papers describing what seems to be a break in or a heist, surrounded by cigars.
