STARES AT MY FUCKING HANDS.

I mean. Most of it you already know but. Like. It all started with Grell coaxing his murder nonsense out of him, and not only accepting him, but being??? Thrilled??? Calling him passionate. It was new and exciting and he went from being Unsure at her (because he did like Beau) to being Very Interested?

And then she died and he felt like he had lost out on something. He tried really hard to solve her murder but in the end he wasn't able to, and he was sad. His fondness for her was pretty abstract but... He was definitely fond? Anyway then HE died. And Grell greeted him by beating him up, paired with that memshare he was just like oh.... vibes sadly. But also he was sort of??? flattered she cared enough to be mad at him? And then how the fuck did that thread lead to them banging? No idea. But that was where their shared love for dramatics started, and frankly that is more important to what bonded them together than murdering. One of the most annoying things Fukuda does actually works for Grell, and that's incredible? This is out of order but I'm still upset that he was like YOU LOOK LIKE A FISHERMAN'S WIDOW WAITING IN ANGUISH FOR NEWS and that was to Grell a very sexy thing of him to say.

Then Fukuda got jealous of Gomi and ended up being goaded into asking Grell to go out with him? None of us thought this would last. It was a relationship based on jealousy and a whim. But they were both excited and having a good time and also had not discussed terms at all which is.... not smart!! They lasted a week, somehow managed to weather several arguments and sex crimes until Sebastian showed up. At the time a worst case scenario, but in retrospect very good and important. canon fresh Fukuda would have just been like "...ok" and been sad about being second important to Grell's murder crush, but he'd had a few weeks of stuff and been told he shouldn't just accept whatever people offer him, so he was like NO I am NOT fine with this. And then he was despondent all week because he??? Liked Grell a lot? He talked to Omi about it and that's when I got on board you know this. Fukuda has always been evasive and hid his issues from people because he does not want to be judged, he wants to be normal and he knows he isn't. But Grell isn't like that and he admires that about her. He thinks she's brave and he thinks she wants him to be too?

So then he came back and they talked about their feelings like they should have done in the first place but it's fine. They were vulnerable and they argued and it was very important and good and they managed to come to an understanding. From this point on they were unstoppable. They just kept getting??? More and more perfect for each other??? And making each other better???? They were having a good time. A great time. They got matching furby injuries. Fukuda loved the attention, loved having Grell on his lap. He secretly liked the pda because he felt like he was showing off??? Fukuda: my (future) wife is a bitch and I like her so much. Grell liked it when he got all dominant and he sucked at it at first but then kept at it and it made him more confident in general. "If Grell likes me maybe I DO have some good qualities"? Just two people society rejected, finding each other. commiserating and telling the other they don't deserve to suffer.

And then week 7 hit and in a fit of Super Envy Fukuda proposed which I entirely intended as a shitpost and if he'd been in his right mind he would never have done it? He would not have expected Grell to say yes, he is not THAT confident. But then she said "maybe later." So he had to. Actually think about it. And he decided that not only did he want to mark her as his, but he wanted to help her. To save her, and whisk her away Without Grell he deadass would have just chosen to go back to jail, settling for the momentary happiness he got here. But now Grill is going to fuck off and have a perfect ending and I cannot fucking believe it love wins.
