Do you know these names? Were they with you on the last 'round' of the competition? How were the indulgence contributions measured? How long did they have before they were consumed?
Incorrect, on a technicality. There wasn't a "game" like this prior to your arrival. It was an entirely different scenario. But for argument's sake, they were here with us that's correct. Theirs were for their own wishes. Another technicality. The operations mentioned in the reports are not for the ship, so I would like to correct you on that misinformation. All who have been consumed are sustaining another form that is used to generate the power that you sought. That is to say, you came here because you had something you wanted. But the power itself is receiving a boost in operations to be generated for those who remain.
What scenario were you in? It seemed like you were there for four months. Is that correct? Did you get what you wanted, after what you went through? What are the operations in the report if it’s not the ship? Does it have anything to do with where you went last Thursday, or is that a different complication? If they’re in another form now, is there any possibility that they can be recovered? I thought the power was being generated from the living indulging. There’s more to it?
We were here for four months. Our scenario involved something similar, but we weren't assigned sins like you have been. We weren't given an idea of what indulgence meant. The killings didn't start until about three months into our stay. Then there was an overindulgence upon becoming Avatars. And now we're here. As I've said, all who have been consumed are to generate the power source necessary for your desires. Those are the operations of which we speak. Due to the nature of you being here, and in some cases due to the nature of how some of you have died, I believe this may be the cause of the recalibration issues we've witnessed. We're still researching ourselves. The dead cannot be recovered. They are gone. Deceased. Consumed. Do not focus on those people who have disappeared. Naturally when you die, you release your own indulgence because you no longer need it. In a way, you start at ground zero while you're in holding. Which is where you are. By continuing to indulge, you are theoretically keeping yourself tied to the holding area. Nathan disappeared due to a lack of indulgence, period. But continuing to indulge also does not mean you will come back. These are the circumstances you face now.
[ He gives Omi a look from where he's at in the same spot, raised brow. He's writing down what he can, he could just show the texts to the others later but he feels the need to be doing something physical while at it. ]
Three months of comparative peace, huh. Our lot is less well-behaved. But now I guess we know what the "fuel" is for, more specifically.
This choice to become Avatars, it was a "choice", right? Based on what we saw through a vision. What do you mean by "overindulgence"? Do we risk this same ending?
I'm assuming that means that we, as dead, are in a sense closer to this theoretical maw threatening to consume us than the living.
Those bodies in the Experimental Holding, and the newer clone room, as dead people is our consciousness locked into those? Is that why they look more colourful than the rest?
Is there anything we can do at all to help this "research" you're referring to?
It was a choice at the end of all things when there were only a few of us left. Overindulgence, as in the opposite of not indulging. It was infused upon us to become Avatars. You don't risk the same ending because, again, and I will continue to make this clear, you are dead. You, as the dead, are in fact closer to consumption than the living. Your consciousness is obviously with you right now or we would not be having this conversation, Starphase. Some of your old indulgence lingers inside of you upon dying, however. Those bodies reflect that. No. There is nothing you can do at all.
Ah, my apologies for not specifying. I meant we, as in the indulging "player-base" so to speak as a whole, so I guess I meant: "do the current living risk overindulgence"?
Additionally, I was more curious on the end of whether it was a separation of body and consciousness... but your reply is telling me it's not. Which in that case, what ARE those bodies for?
Sucks that we can't help you on this end. Good luck then, I hope there's less dying in general for you.
No. Not with the way things are going. There won't be enough of you left to risk that. Think of those additional bodies as an exoskeleton. Your essence is still attached to them, even if your soul is not. Or, at least, that's the best we can figure. We didn't choose to put the room or your bodies there. I've already died once and that was more than enough. Though I believe the same could be said for you as well.
Do there need to be a specific amount of people left alive at the end? They’re at 22 this week. Did it just come equipped with the ship? Did you choose to put in the other rooms? Whatever happens in the end will be decided by whoever is living, right? I’m not really looking for a repeat performance.
No. The number doesn't matter. Whatever it is is what it is. The base was created on its own. We've mentioned before we did not choose the rooms ourselves. Sure. Now if that will be all, I believe I have something else to attend to.

They were here, there was no "last round" of a competition.
They were measured but not for what you're contributing to.
It was immediate.
