[all of his multiple eyes have heart pupils, for the record. also, instead of the extras consistently moving around, one seems to have taken up permanent residence on his hand, and two extras on his face similarly do not ever relocate.]

[ he looks at the eyes as well. ]

Figured you might be due a belated hug, for some of the crap it looks like you've gone through yourselves.

Yeah. Slowly, over time. [ he points at the center of envy's chest ] Starting there, green veins started appearing. You got more eyes showing up on your body. And your fingers seemed to get longer.

[a hand reflexively goes to his chest, all his eyes wide for a moment-- and then they all, in perfect sync, swivel to the closest door. he doesn't say anything at first, lip caught between his teeth as he debates just bailing immediately.

he does take a step away, but they've both been nice enough to him before that he doesn't outright run.]

.... you didn't tell anyone, did you?

[she shakes her head!]

[ he just nods at sqx. ]

Just-- don't share it, then, I don't... not even people I sleep with know how I look entirely, okay? The shirt usually stays on.

[so he still looks pretty uncomfortable that anyone at all has seen it, honestly. he might or might not keep an eye on their conversations later to make sure.]

... Is it just you, or is it all of you? [ his words are phrased carefully, however. ]

They've been a little weird, yeah, but they don't hurt...?

[he fidgets with the sleeve of his robe.]

And, uh, you'd have to ask the others. Not really up to me to speak for them.

[honestly that just makes her think that the answer is yes, but she'll let it be for now.]

Good to hear. That they don't hurt, and that you're looking out for the others.

They're just kind of-- there. No pain, I swear.

[but, hm. he considers a few moments.]

I have some idea, yeah, but it's not going to help you to know?

It's possible it might help you if someone knows, though? And I think in general it's better to know things than to not know things...

If it doesn't help, it doesn't help. But I doubt we'd hurt from hearing it.

I really don't think it's relevant to anything, though. It happened at some point, that's the important part.

...I'd say it's relevant! It's happening to you, and you're our friend.

Also, consider: we know how long we've been here. But how long have you all been here? This would be something of an answer.

[probe]

It would be an answer, yeah, but that's just you being nosy about our situation and not anything useful, which is kind of what I mean by not relevant.

[it doesn't exactly come out snippy, but envy does look kind of uncomfortable.]
