a shallow, gentle waves crashes over his bare feet. the air smells like salt and the sun. it's warm! gojou glances up at the ocean stretching out ahead of him. there's something immediately relaxing about being on a beach.
a young man his age puts his hands in the pockets of his black pants. he's wearing the most god-awful beachy, floral button-up, even though it's splayed wide open. his dark hair is pulled back in a bun. gojou realizes this beach must be in okinawa.
"Satoru," he says, "let's get going. You're taking this seriously, aren't you?" getou glances over at him, lips half-smiling. "You've been going non-stop... haven't you...? Not surprising."
getou turns away and starts to head back, and a vortex swoops in to suck gojou, slowly at first, right back out from the dream to being awake. sloth is still standing in front of him, but their pinkies aren't locked any more. sloth smiles.]
