[without the hood, he can see that their eyes are still glowing purple and there's a hollow sort of darkness around the eye sockets, like deep-set shadows that give them an almost skeletal appearance as their eyes are sunken in. there's wisps of shadows coming from around there and thick black-blue veins spiderwebbing over them that seem to bulge slightly, skin crackling in places. they're also very pale. there's the claws, of course, and the fangs, too.
also, they look like they haven't slept very much, but what else is new. please ignore the slightly uncertain look.]
