[And he's switching over to Italian and speaking again.]
I would love to have you get used to me ravishing every inch of your body with my mouth. Maybe we can make a game of it and see how long it takes someone to find us here because of your moaning.
[envy pulls him in immediately, wasting no time in pressing an insistent kiss to his lips-- though he does pull away after a few moments, with a little sigh.]
That's a very hot proposition, I have to give you that, but I do think I would literally expire if anyone actually walked in.
[Heck. He forgot about that for a moment there. Luca blinks, and then he lets out a huff of amusement as he takes Envy's hand.]
It seems 'Lust' was the right pick for me after all. I've been particularly bad at controlling that lately.
[He'll hold Envy's hand and look into one of the green eyes, maybe even the one on that hand if he can. Will that work, or does he need to look at Envy's head-eyes?]
I mean, that's kind of the point, right? It's not like I'm usually much better.
[maybe he could have been lust instead of envy.
but as luca looks into that hand-eye, it focuses on him-- then there's a shift in perspective, viewing something through envy's eyes.]
[you've had to head out into public today. unavoidable errands, things you really need to do in person, that can't be resolved through online submissions and delivery services. one of the ghosts offered to possess you and do it for you, but you think it's probably best if they don't have your bank details, and also that one is particularly bad at pretending to be you anyway. not that you think you're very good at pretending either, at playing 'normal'.
so you just try to keep your head down, move along, remind yourself of things. nobody else is reacting to the car on fire in the street, so it's just a remnant of a death. nobody is avoiding the small puddle of blood on the sidewalk, don't go around it. their feet don't trail red when they step in it, but yours do. they just don't see it-- completely unaware of these signs of death everywhere.
someone raises a hand slightly in a little wave to you as they pass. you return the gesture and get a strange look from another person nearby, then watch as the first one walks directly through a wall. right. that one was dead-- it's hard for you to tell. they looked every bit like a living person, up til that point.
you try your best to ignore the stare and start walking again, eyes fixed on the ground, hoping as the stranger mutters something that they're talking about literally anything else besides you.]
[...it ends, and envy looks a little dazed. when he glances up to luca, he looks unsure, free hand coming up to rub at the back of his neck, but he really doesn't know what to say.]
[Luca doesn't really know what to say either. He wouldn't have understood just how uncomfortable seeing ghosts is if he hadn't experienced that little moment. Both seeing what Envy saw and feeling what he felt, it makes it more real.
Luca's looking at Envy with sympathy clear on his face. He reaches across the table to take one of Envy's hands, just to hold it for a moment.]
I'm- please forgive me, I'm not exactly the best at this, but- that looks difficult to live with. I'm sorry.
Well. I can't promise you a new life or anything, but I can say I will hang out with you? And I'm sure there are others who will do so as well. So it will be a little less isolating here, at least.
[He pauses, considering something, and then he chuckles.]
It's not going to be normal, nothing here is normal. But it's friendship?
[I feel so bad, Luca is here offering to be Envy's friend and he's about to heckin die.]
If it were normal, that'd almost be more weird for me.
[envy gives him a grateful little smile, there, and just. tugs at his hand, silently asking him to come closer. also it's fine a lot of envy's friends are dead people.]
I- definitely like your company, though, so if you're okay with hanging out, and-- maybe doing more than that? If you want? Then I'm absolutely not going to tell you no.
[Smiling, Luca does move closer. He ends up sitting on the edge of the table, still holding onto Envy's hand. He's rubbing his thumb over Envy's knuckles too.]
I think I would like that, yes. Let's be weird together.
[his smile's a little softer, and after a few moments of hesitation to work up the nerve, he finally lifts luca's hand up to press a little kiss to the back of it. it feels a little like he shouldn't be nervous to do this, considering what they've done already but-- well. it's a little different.

[his face flushes, at that, and the eye that's currently open on his hand has a heart pupil now.]
I- well, I guess things are different here, maybe I should've expected it wouldn't be exactly the same, but it's... it's not what I'm used to?
no subject
Anything I can do to help you get used to it? I'm quite talented at a few skills that are useful here. I'm sure we can get you used to the attention.
no subject
[he says that without thinking, then flusters, taking an immediate and very long drink from his cup.]
no subject
Envy, can you understand any language I speak?
no subject
[he's still kind of flustered, but now he looks a little curious.]
Maybe we should test that, actually.

[Look at how filthy he can be!]
no subject
I- okay, yeah, apparently I speak Italian-- do me a favor and come here? Because I really want to kiss you right now.
no subject
Well, since you asked so nicely.
[Kiss time!]

That's a very hot proposition, I have to give you that, but I do think I would literally expire if anyone actually walked in.
[he's not the exhibitionist type.]
no subject
Mmm, the illusion of risk is better than actually risking anything, isn't it?
no subject
[the very real illusion of risk! and he can lock any door he wants.
someone stop envy's horny crimes i'm begging.]
no subject
If you have the other needed supplies on you, then that can be arranged.
no subject
but then he remembers, and settles back into his seat with a quiet laugh.]
I'm absolutely not opposed, but you wanted something else out of this, right?
[he has no idea how to force it to work, though? so he just. takes one of luca's hands.]
Here, maybe more contact helps.
no subject

[it's. very hard to be socially adjusted when these are your daily experiences, and envy takes that hand gratefully, clinging to it.]
... you get used to it. Maybe a little too used to it, probably.
no subject
[He's giving that hand a little squeeze.]
Is that why you're Envy? You're envious of people who don't have those difficulties in their everyday life?
no subject
[he manages a tiny little huff of a laugh, but without any real humor to it.]
It's, you know, hard to just-- interact with people, usually? So I don't... the ghosts are usually the only people I hang out with.
[after a moment, quieter:]
I, uh. I don't entirely feel that way anymore, I'm better with it now, but for a long time all I really wanted was to just. Be normal.
