[his head tilts into the touch, but he's watching douman with more than just curiosity, eyes intent.]

Because I will get jealous if you go around saying things like that to just anyone!

[there's a hint of a laugh in his voice, but-- there's still that focused look, even so.]

Ahaha. As to be expected of the avatar of Envy.

[Douman may be looked at intensely, but their smile is still light.]

I will only say such things if I feel that you do have such an interest in me. But I suppose, if you do not...

[And Douman pulls their hand away completely, glancing away.]

Then that is what it is. If I am not yours...if you weren't the one behind my coming here, then...mm. I suppose I must face reality...and accept that not everyone would accept this priest and all they have done.

I mean- I can't really judge that much, you know. And you can't really help what you are.

[he frowns slightly as douman pulls their hand away, posture shrinking slightly.]

I can't say I exactly hand-picked all of you who are aligned with envy, or anything, but-- I do like that you ended up tied to me. I was hoping you would be.

[commedia]

You were hoping I would be?

[And just like that, Douman reaches back again but this time just to gently hold the other's hand.]

And what do you like? What pleases you? My deeds? My abilities? Mmm. I wonder.

I just think you're interesting! And I get, um. What you want.

[he glances away, at that-- at least with several of his eyes. not all of them look away from douman.]

Kind of can't blame you for it, you know?

[commedia]

[A flicker of something occurs deep in those dark, dark eyes, like a flame moving past a window in a dark window. And then its gone.]

Is that so. [Like a purr, those words come. Does Envy truly understand their feelings? Understand their desire? Maybe yes. Maybe no. They raise the other's hand to place against their face, leaning into it like an attention-seeking cat.] So here we are, companions in misery and longing.

[he seems to perk up a little at that flicker, honestly, watching douman with more open curiosity-- he kind of wants to see that again. his fingers curl easily against douman's cheek, though, smiling slightly.]

-yeah. More or less. Maybe less misery, the other Avatars can be pretty good company, but... well, you know what I mean, right? It's still not quite the same.

This is true...and this humble priest wants to get to know you better.

[There is a low hum as they turn their head and place a light kiss against his palm.]

While I'm here...I want to. You will always have an open ear with me.

I'll try to let you, then. If you'll let me get to know you more. There's a lot we know, but it's not everything.

[that kiss is encouraging-- he leans in to try to steal another proper one.]

Alright.

[And they let him, cupping Ryan's cheek gently as they return the kiss. They run their tongue across the other's lips before pulling back.]

This humble priest...is in your hands.

[he makes a soft sound, at that, and when they pull back he follows, shifting closer. honestly, he's pretty close to just ending up in their lap.]

-what if I'd rather be in yours, for now?

[commedia]

[RYAN your THIRST]

Oho. [They're not saying no to that movement - a hand slides around the other's waist.] Those are dangerous words. One may take them a certain way.

[probe]

[his arms drape over their shoulders, there, easily accepting the touch.]

How are you taking them, then?

[commedia]

[Douman just slides their hands slowly over the other's back, fingertips tickling over Ryan's spine. They lean forward, kissing the edge of the other's lips, gently.]

That one might want to move...more intimately, in the direction of getting to know each other better.

[probe]

That's how I meant them, yeah.

[it's a little more of a murmur, because he doesn't really want to pull away? a little closer, and he's definitely just settling himself in their lap now.]

You know. If-- if you're interested.

[commedia]

How glad I am, that we're on the same page.

[Ryan. Ryan, please. Ryan. Please. Douman is definitely not going to do anything to dissuade him, instead letting out a pleased rumble of a noise.]

Of course. Though one wonders if you're comfortable as you are here. [They kiss the side of Ryan's neck.] I'm not picky, myself.

I mean, well, um-- yes? I'd be comfortable just about anywhere, honestly, but this is fine?

[he sounds distracted, though, paying a little more attention to... well. the attention.]

[commedia]

[A laugh, pulling back a hand to shift underneath the robes, trailing along Ryan's leg underneath.]

In the void like this? This priest will not judge.

[boys can you like. not bang in the void, please.]

-oh. Oh! You meant that-- I thought you meant, like... no, no, this is fine! I don't really want to risk your roommate walking in, you know? Probably quieter here...

[he's wearing pants under the robes, for the record! he really did just think they meant the positioning though. lord. i hate him please understand.]

[commedia]

[Anyways, that just makes Douman let out a peal of laughter.]

Concerned about my roommate? How ever so considerate.

[They just keep moving their hand up, giving a squeeze to the other's thigh.]

This place does seem rather empty, though.

[probe]

Not really! More that I don't want just anybody to see my face, so they can't just wander in. I figure we'll see anyone coming in a place like this.

[he presses a little closer, there, leaning in to let his teeth graze their earlobe.]

-unless we get too distracted, I guess.

[commedia]

Why do you have to hide it away? Some rules you have to play by?

[They let out a low noise at the teeth, fingernail of their thumb digging in slightly. Not to be outdone, their other hand slips under the robe and goes further, resting on the other's abdomen.]

Oh, don't worry. Being distracted should be the last thing on your mind, haha.

Technically speaking, I maybe don't have to, but I don't want to show everyone?

[he's self-conscious about the eyes, okay.]

Also I am probably supposed to try not to.

[a little shiver runs through him at the touch, though, and he's just kind of. plucking at the fabric of douman's outfit. help, how does this work.]

Then that makes it all the more special for me, then. Aaah. Dear Envy. All of you, for my eyes only.

[They glance down at their. Extremely convoluted clown robes.]

Mmm. I shall help. Here.

[And reluctantly, they pull back a hand to untie the knot of fabric at their waist, tugging the sleeve of the green robes down to expose their chest and arms. Also look this outfit is horrible HOW DO YOU EVEN TAKE THIS OFF??]

[IT'S A HORRIBLE OUTFIT WHY DO THEY WEAR THIS.

he's busy trying to pull the robe over his head when douman exposes themselves further, and he just kind of. flusters and gets his arms stuck partially out of the sleeves? he's barely peeking out of the mound of fabric, and he is trapped, looking like he kind of wants to die.

for the record though he is wearing a very cute oversized green sweater, so there's that. he's cute. but also trapped.]

Um. I think- can you just pull this up a little, please, and forget this ever happened--
